What our UEI, CAGE and NAICS codes tell a government buyer

Before a contracting officer or prime contractor calls a small business, they usually look it up first. RouteSure Solutions is registered and active in SAM.gov, and the numbers on our procurement page are how you confirm it. Here is what each one means and what you can do with it.

UEI: QWFHHTSSULE5

The Unique Entity ID is a 12-character identifier assigned in SAM.gov. In April 2022 it replaced the DUNS number as the federal government’s main identifier for businesses that receive awards. Search it on SAM.gov to see our registration.

One tip: SAM.gov registrations have to be renewed every year, so check the status and the expiration date on any vendor record, not just that the record exists.

CAGE code: 168W3

The Commercial and Government Entity code is a five-character ID for a business location. It is assigned through the Defense Logistics Agency’s CAGE program as part of SAM.gov registration, and it appears on contract documents and in defense purchasing systems.

NAICS codes

NAICS codes are six-digit industry classifications. Each solicitation lists one, and that code sets the size standard used to decide whether a business counts as small for a set-aside. Ours are:

  • 492110: Couriers and express delivery services (primary)
  • 492210: Local messengers and local delivery
  • 491110: Postal service

  • Sourcing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, with a focus on Defense Logistics Agency requirements.
  • Local sourcing and last-mile logistics in and around the Houston region.
  • Coordinating vendors, suppliers and carriers to meet delivery and performance timelines.
  • Keeping documented records of procurement and logistics work.

Because courier and procurement run through the same Houston office, procured goods can be delivered by our own dispatch against your purchase order, and one person owns the delivery date.
